Self made films have various distribution methods to get there films some attention and exposure. Some of these methods include:   Bidding War at a film festival  This can be helpful for small and independent film makers as film festivals as they will gain and attract potential buyers and interest. Bidding war can take place at the end of the festival and films could go on auction and could offer a full buy out of the film. However this is rather uncommon and rare as the film would have to be at the best quality and one of a kind. They also being used less and less, as it is something of the past. They are quite hard to achieve and are quite uncommon not making it a suitable option of distribution for our film.  An example of this was the film called " A Thousand and One" that was played at the most recent Sundance film festival. Treatment ( Hope) A Treatment for: Tyrant Prepared by sensational studios It will be proposed that our film will be 1:30-2 minuets long and will be filming on site, as it is easily assessable to all our crew and cast. We are also planning on filming a part on the elevator which will be accessible to us on site.   This film will consist of the following conventions: Suspense  Our film Tyrant strongly includes an element of suspense as we try to keep audience on their toes from the get go. As we open our short film with blackness and diegetic sounds, the audience is left questioning what is happening and therefore is engaged and gripped to the rest of the film. This suspense is created via a fast paced beginning, and then cuts to a more slow and mysterious vibe, still maintaining the suspense all the way through.  Props and Costumes: For props we are going to have a computer in boys " teenage room " environment, which is key at the end of the film. A grand reveal of what is on the screen will be revealed, which displays the bullied teenage boy searching for guns online to kill his tormentors. Despite the shot being filmed on site, our team will do our best to create a room/ homely feel. Blood will be used in partnership with bruises to portray the level of extent that the victim gets beat up by. Blood will only been shown will the Vitim is walking home.   Brainstorm: This is our original brainstorm for our film opening 'Tyrant." It was created by all four members of 'Sensational Studios' and is the basis of all our planning and preparation for the creation of the film.  Allocations Planning: We created this 'Team Allocations' sheet to ensure that everything required gets done and that everyone is doing an even amount of work, and working to their strengths and abilities. We regularly check this sheet to see how much still needs to be done and to make sure that nothing has been skipped over. I have taken on the responsibility of completing the treatment, and Chanilize has taken on the task of completing the concept.

What is the purpose of an opening sequence?  They are shown at the start of a movie to list the most important cast and crew involved in the production of the film. It also helps set the scene and almost gives clues as to what the film consists of and what is to come.    It sets the scene of the overall movie, and can be presented via a establishing shot to display to the audience where they are in the films' world. Abstract openings however, doesn't give away much about the setting of the scene but rather focuses on the themes and tones of the film.  What is the difference between an opening credits and a title sequence? The difference is that a title sequence is is separated from the main action of the film. Opening credits consist of key information like the film director, cinematographer, lead actors ect.
