Welcome Blog AS Media 2023

Hello there, my name is Hope and I am studying AS media in year 13.I live in New Zealand, but I also love to travel ;). My mum moved from Togo, a west African country, and met my Dad when she came to new Zealand. I embrace my African culture with lots of pride and love. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoy trying foods from different cultures and countries. My personal favorites are African , Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my mum and family, as well as with friends. I also work part time at a clothing store, as well as looking after kids either babysitting or at holiday club. I am so excited to join As media this year as I will learn new expertise, and develop and  grow the skills I already have. I thoroughly enjoy watching movies , as it is one major way I relax. The reality of learning the different elements and components that go into making successful films and movies is something I find very exciting and intere...

13/02 Media Studies

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TSeyoNpyLI  Camera Shots: I learnt from this video, that very wide cameras shots are not only used to show the character's surroundings, but can also be used to show the character's challenge that they need to face or overcome. Close up shot, focuses on the subjects head, which can show a lot of facial expression, allowing the audience to know the characters emotion and thoughts on certain things. It can give the audience a lot of information e.g whether something is not quit...

The original logo just composed of big black and gentle lettering. In 2004-2006 Dennis Muren had a different approach and wanted a hand painted picture of moon themed. The series consisted of a man fishing on the moon, but one version consisted of a boy fishing. This is the version that was chosen. This was chosen because, they believed when a person dreams, they become more like a child than a adult and that children's dreams are unlimited. They don’t know about all these material obstacles that may interfere with their desires. Because of this, nothing is impossible to them. In 2007, t he color palette was also changed and monochrome got replaced by a calm and strong shade of blue, placed on a white background. in 2016 everything that was sky blue became white and vice versa. The artists corrected the boy’s f...
