CCR Preliminary Task 2
Question 3
I found it hard, thinking and making up the script, as I tried to put alot of effort and detail into it. However, it did get lost and due to the website, I was not able to gain access to it.
I also couldn't upload any photos of our location in browns bay on my blog post, and had to use online photos instead. It also meant that we didn't know what the shots would look like, or if lighting would be an issue.
It was also difficult to communicate our ideas and task allocations, as some of the group members were away on different days, meaning we only had one lesson as a whole group to come up with a solid idea.

Pre production :What did I enjoy?
I enjoyed the brainstorming and planning this time round, as I got to see write about my the location and characters which were satisfying to envision what our film is going to look like.
I also found it interesting completing the characters portfolio and loved talking about why these chosen actors were the best fitted for the role.
DON'T GIVE UP!
I observed that overall planning was a lot more smoother this time round, as all the task allocations were even distributed and we already knew what do to and expect from last time round. We also helped each other out on things and gave each other advice on how to make it better.
We finished our planning on time, and were a lot more organised.
Fantastic!
What I found challenging
I found it challenging to communicate between the group as well as the cast, to see what times/days everyone was available to film.
During school holidays, many of us group members were engaged in work and had no time to film.
with this being said we were on the back foot coming into the new term as we had not filmed yet. our talents are both working fathers who also play football, so it was difficult to schedule in times that suited everyone.

Question 3
due to us filming in the streets, we had to be extra careful of equipment, to ensure that nothing was damaged by the concrete or stolen.
We also had to wait a couple of times in order to start recording as the near by pub/restaurant was making a bit of noise
The first round of filming was cut short as a couple of the group members had to be home by 10 due to license restrictions.

What did I enjoy?
I enjoyed directing the film this time round, as I got to sit back and help in many different areas, rather than just focusing on one part. We also all gave input into what we each thought we could do to make the film even better.
I also really enjoyed the working atmosphere that we created ,as the cast and crew had a fun time exchanging jokes and laughs, but was also seroius when neede to be.
DON'T GIVE UP!
due to our talent being very good at acting, and in combination of our previous experiance, we managed to film shots rather quickly and smoothly. this meant that we got more done in less time.
as mentioned before, due to us filming before, we learnt from our previous mistakes and everything went way more smoother this time, meaning we were much more relaxed and had time to enjoy the filming process.
We had no trouble with SD card or camera percenatages the first time round filming, which ensure that we werent rushing shots.
Fantastic!
What I found challenging
The second time we filmed however, we didn't have the SD card, and had to use a personal one which concerned us, as we were unsure if if everything would transfer properly.
The camera also was not charged properly, leaving us to film half of our story with only 25%. This mean that we were very particular with the shots that we filmed, and couldn't take practise or back up shots.
It was also a struggle to communicate the time and day that we were going to film the second half of the story, due to busy schedules.

Question 3
I found it difficult to structure the film in terms of sequence, in a way that still created suspense.
I also had to play around with sound to ensure that it added to the suspense and that it didn't overpower or take away from the digeitic sounds, and natural atmosphere.
It was also difficult to remember some things on DaVinci Resolve.

What did I enjoy?
I enjoyed watching everything piece together and seeing our ideas and visons coming to life and being visible. Editing was easier this time round, as I had previous experianced and wasn't focusing on learning the ropes of everthing.
I enjoyed finding the sounds and music that I will use in my film, and testing out differnt types of sound effects that I could add.
DON'T GIVE UP!
The atmosphere that was created, really displayed suspense. The music, sound effects ect was similar to what I envisioned.
Editing went a lot smoother and faster this time
The end result of my after effect.
Fantastic!
What I found challenging
The actual making and choosing of the after effect wad rather challenging, meaning I couldn't spend a lot of time on it.
Making sure that the music didn't overpower the dialouge.
Next time I can work on making my editing smoother, and using sound to crate suspense, as well as play a lot more with after effects and the visuals of the film.
