With this being our first time using the cameras, we wanted to play around with different shot types that we wanted to use in our first preliminary task. We practiced:
close ups
over the shoulder
high angles shots
mid shot
wide shots
This was helpful to familiarise ourselves with the angles that we will need to film from, as well as highlighting mistakes that we made,( negative space, framing effectively, not forgetting important equipment like sound.) ,ensuring that when it comes to filming our real preliminary task, that things would go much smoother. With this being said, this task helped our group to firstly know how to work together and getting used to each others personal dynamic and skills, as well as thinking on the spot and creating something under time pressure. This was a fun and creative task, in which I enjoyed very much!
The talent needed for our film Addicted we will need 2 main characters: We will need a character to play our main character who is buying illegal substances yet can not afford to pay the correct amount. He will eventually will be in a car chase with his buyer and his home invaded who could potentially be killed or harmed due to him failing to provide the correct amount of payment. His name will be Aaron. We will want Aaron to dress casually and rather in a normal and basic outfit, to show that he is just a normal everyday civilian and that there is nothing extra or special about him. ( boy at the very right) (boy at the very left) This is Emmanuel who will be playing Aaron. He is 30 years old and is fit and healthy due to his work and playing football that requires him to be active. He fits the description perfectly, as he looks like your average civilian. He's tall and lean , and looks as if he gets into no trouble or mischief behavior. Our second character will be the selle

Full shots can also be used when two or more characters are in the frame, or when the background adds a little more context to either the storyline or the character itself. A medium full shot singles out the character that the audience should focus on. Cowboy shots are mainly used for the "hero effect" as it is a strong powerful shot. Medium shot is rather common in film, as this is how us as humans interact with, and talk with each other on the day to day basis. Close up shot, focuses on the subjects head, which can show a lot of facial expression, allowing the audience to know the characters emotion and thoughts on certain things. It can give the audience a lot of information e.g whether something is not quit
