 Netflix Case Study:  April 2017 was when Netflix reached 100 millions subscribers. This was more than Hulu and Amazon prime.  They are currently available to over 190 countries.  Half the subscribers are in the Us  Founded in 1997 began a DVD service. ( deliver DVDs straight to your door). 10 years later after delivering their a billionth DVD, they expanded into internet video on demand. They offered a new way to watch TV in which instead of waiting to watch episodes weekly, it was available all at one, in which people started to binge watch Tv shows and series.  They however started making their own films and Tv series, in which they now make 126 original programs a year. They have won 147 awards including 1 Oscar. They do however have gaining competition, as other streaming services are also creating original content.  In order to continue to stand out from competition, they expand their viewing and type of content like unscripted tv ect.

Technology Changes in Film:

Rolls of film goes to get printed each day and then is visible to watch the next day ( dailies).
