  Censorship of Hollywood Blockbuster Films Intensifies in China  China is stepping up censorship of U.S. films as producers make movies with an eye toward pleasing Beijing yet without isolating the global audience, industry insiders say. The roughly 25-year-old practice of cutting scenes that don't conform to Communist Party ideals from Hollywood movies has expanded." Now it's kind of escalated in the sense that they're much more direct in banning films outright rather than just tampering or asking for scenes to be removed". Industry observers say censors are also asking that versions of movies for audiences outside China follow Beijing's script. "As a country under the rule of law, China regulates the film industry in accordance with the Film Administration regulations." The 2021 superhero film "Spider-Man: No Way Home" missed Chinese approval because authorities wanted Sony Pictures to remove images of the Statue of Liberty from the film

1. Who are the NZFC and what is their primary purpose? The NZFC is an organisation in NZ that focuses on supporting and promoting NZ's film industry. They do this by investing into New Zealand featured films and short films. They aim to contribute production financing to between 8-12 films each year.    We develop scripts and the careers of New Zealand filmmakers. 2. Some of the films that have done really well include Red, white & brass ( 2023); Cousins ( 2021) ; Juniper (2021) ; The power of the Dog ( 2021) ; The justice of Bunny King ( 2021)  3. What films have they funded in the last 5 years that you have seen or that you know have been popular? Two films that I have personally herd of and know has doe really well is the movie 'Cousins', and 'Boy'. I haven't heard of many others, but the movies listed above are the top films from the NZFC , and most of them can be found
