Feedback on Preliminary Task 2 Rough Edit

 Things I did good: 

  • Good mood created
  • loved the start and build in suspense
  • Smooth editing 
  • Ending is very good
  • Good sound effects
  • Good non-diegetic sounds
  • suspense from the phone call onwards
Things I could work on:
  • adding credits
  • have a play with sound
  • exclude the black/fade outs
  • transitions could be smoother
  • building suspense from the start 
  • environment sound is louder than the music

  The talent needed for our film Addicted we will need 2 main characters: We will need a character to play our main character who is buying illegal substances yet can not afford to pay the correct amount. He will eventually will be in a car chase with his buyer and his home invaded who could potentially be killed or harmed due to him failing to provide the correct amount of payment. His name will be Aaron.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TSeyoNpyLI  Camera Shots: I learnt from this video, that very wide cameras shots are not only used to show the character's surroundings, but can also be used to show the character's challenge that they need to face or overcome. Full shots can also be used when two or more characters are in the frame, or when the background adds a little more context to either the storyline or the character itself. A medium full shot singles out the character that the audience should focus on. Cowboy shots are mainly used for the "hero effect" as it is a strong powerful shot. Medium shot is rather common in film, as this is how us as humans interact with, and talk with each other on the day to day basis. Close up shot, focuses on the subjects head, which can show a lot of facial expression, allowing the audience to know the characters emotion and thoughts on certain things.
